Ayakashi
Phantoms (Ayakashi) are creatures that come from the Far Shore but like to influence Humans and other living things in the Near Shore. The most common type of Phantom are eye balls.
There are very different phantoms of all shapes and sizes, each one generally feeding off the darkness in people and corrupting the 'good' in one's heart. It is unknown how the phantoms are able to exist in the near shore alongside humans, but they can be expelled and killed by gods. They cannot be seen by humans under normal circumstances, but animals, small children, and people who have seen the far shore can see them.
Appearances
All phantoms look different. Some have cute appearances whilst others look scary. They can range from being small enough to sit on somebody's shoulder or large enough to linger over a city. They appear slightly transparent and are usually either black, white, grey or a mixture of fluorescent colors. No one knows the gender of any Ayakashi
Known Phantoms
- Eyes
These Ayakashi are the most seen form of phantoms. Eyes are well their eyes, the color of their pupil is black and the circle around it can be different chosen from any color while the rest of it is white.
-Scorpion
The scorpion is a red/orange coloring except for its tail which is purple. They have eight legs and two pincer like arms in front.
-Mana
A red Ayakashi with a large mouth that has a long tail. If its around a negative amount of anger or anything like that then it will grow extremely larger then it normally would. The tail has some white spikes on it.
-Frog
The frog Ayakashi are blue with purple spots on them. They have yellow and red eyes. The red part is around the yellow part.

-Smitty
Smitty are small adorable Ayakashi that have a blue body and yellow eyes, with a small triangle nose. Think of like a bear's small baby cub just been miniaturized and colorful.
- Caterspid
The Caterspid is a hairy thing with six long purple legs and red eyes. Think of a spider/caterpillar creature.

There are blue wolves that travel in packs and tear things to pieces they like to go after pure spirits.
